Default What is a good, inexpensive daily driver tire?

I need new tires. I bought my car used. It had the original - I believe they are the orginal - Goodyear somethings on them. Anyway, I'm not upgrading my rims just yet, so I don't need anything real badass. I just need new, solid daily driving tires. Now this is a daily driver, but only in the summer, so something with a little bit of perofrmance will do. Give me you opinions...Figure maybe $500 max just for the tires themselves, no mounting or balancing included in that price.

i use bfgoodrich g-force sports at 245/45/17 not really expensive and have excellent dry traction but wet isn't too great and they wear really even and not very fast i'd reccomend them to mustang not heavily modded

I threw a set of Kuhmo Ecsta 711(245-45-17) on about a month ago and I like them so far. Wet and Dry Traction are both pretty good IMO. I got them from tire rack for like $79 shipped to my door.

I have the HTR+ on my other rims, but if u want a little more traction u cant get the HTR Z'z which have the same tread pattern as the Goodyear F1's. If ur lookin at spending 500, well I bought my Nitto's for 575 bucks.

I've got these on my DD and they are great tires. You wouldn't go wrong with them.
