WTF! my carpet is soaked!
well for the past few days i've noticed my car smelled like socks but i figured it was my gym gloves since i leave them in the door pocket. Well yesterday my CD bag fell on the pass floor and when i picked it up to my shock and horror it was down wet! not just a little damp, I mean soaked!
so I take out the mat, which was dripping wet, and started pulling up the carpet and there's like a colony of feaking ants under there that start crawling all over me! this was some weird **** man! so i pop the hood to check the coolant level and it was fine, besides if it was coolant i dont think the ants could live in it so i'm guessing it was rain water. question is do new edge coupes have a leak problem? because i sponged out maybe 30oz of water..... no joke

Damn...
Have you ever noticed condensation on the upper corners of your windows after a rain storm, or first thing in the morning??
I'm willing to bet that one of your seals may be torn, or just too compressed to make good contact...
A good way to tell is take a garden hose, and run it over all of your exterior seams, and have someone inside the car watch to see if anything comes in... You're probably going to have to take some interior pieces out to do this effectively..
Also, have you checked your trunk?? Sometimes the drainage holes can get clogged, and force the water into your trunk, which in turn seeps into the back of your car... First guess is the door seals though...

its on the passenger side, at this point i'm pretty sure it's water of some sort. and yes i do notice condensation on the windshield sometimes. so you're saying the water that collects in the trunk gap can make it inside?

Another possibility is that your AC compressor was building up massive amounts of condensation. There is a small hose thats supposed to drip outside the car that might have gotten knocked into the passenger foodwell. it happened to my sn95 and just recently to my 02.

Yep, sounds like the AC. Jack up the passenger side and check the AC kines and you will find it by following the lines and checking around the compressor and under the firewall. mark
