Default U/D Pulleys

A guy I know wants to sell me his pulleys off of his 99' GT. I have an 03', and don't think they will fit because I thought they changed in mid 01'. Am I right?

Yeah, i didn't think so. But, i was thinking, which pulley is it that I can't use? Which ever one I can't use, could I buy that single pulley somewhere else? (like summit racing)

And I was also wondering, which pulley is required to make the set a non-piggyback set?

so can i buy a crank pulley from somewhere else to make it work? So until i get a crank pulley, it would be a piggyback system?

Your best bet is to buy the Steeda pulleys. You don't have to piggy back them.

These are Steeda pulleys that he is selling for really cheap, but since I can't use the crank pulley, it would be a piggyback system until I bought a crank pulley (I would wait to install when I got a crank pulley). I figure I can find a crank pulley by itself for cheap and it still be cheaper than buying new Steeda underdrive pulleys.

The water pump pulley is the one that changed in mid '01. He has the long shaft and you have a short shaft. The water pump, I mean. You can use the other two pulleys, but the water pump pulley with not align with the belt.

Oh, someone said it was the crank pulley. Thanks for the info. You sounded like you knew what you were talking about there. Do you know where I can get an underdrive water pump pulley by itself?

I think you can contact Steeda directly via phone and order one. I think I read about someone doing that.
