Default Speedcal Problems

I just installed my speedcal yesterday. It worked wonderfully until this morning. When I took off the speedo shot directly to 150mph when i was going about 25. When I slow down, so does the speedo, but it reads very eratically. I disconnected the battery and then reconnected. I also squeezed the scotch lock to make sure that it was making a connection. It worked fine until the end of the day when it did the same thing again. I took the cable off again, but that didnt help. So, I fiddled with the scotch lock again and it worked fine. Later it started doing the same thing, so I squeezed it down with some pliars. Now, it works intermittently and if i sqeeze the scotch lock it will sometimes start working again. Is it a speedcal problem, or a power connection problem? I'm thinking its the scotch lock, but it is really clamped down, and I dont understand why it wouldnt be connecting now. Any ideas?

Get rid of the Scotchlock and solder the connection.

If that doesn't work please repost.
