Default 1st time at the track

Since I can't get my signature to add a picture of my car I'll just add an attachement...You should recognize my car from previous posts...i ran my 99 gt with a 5.0 shifter, cat-back magnaflow exhaust, and a K&N filter 000OoOOooOOO!!!! This track is notorious for having traction problems. This is my first time to run at any track...Here is my best run of the night:

R/T - .373 (best of the night was a .050, i was happy d )
60 ft - 2.267
3306 - .243
1/8 - 9.487
1000 - 12.251
1/4 - 14.571
MPH - 97.32

Granted this is my first time to actually drive at any track out of an overall 6 runs. My best was after I let my car cool for about 45 minutes..the track is exactly 1 hour from my town.

I watched 3 mach 1's with bolt-ons run no better than a 14.4 and I watched a high school kid run his 05 GT with exhaust at 15.1 (apparrently he must have installed a custom wal-mart bag over his intake). My point is I was the only normal GT of the night and I ran close to 2 Mach1s and a 2005 GT with custom exhaust. Maybe they babied their cars, but I ran my stang to the edge of redline at max. I was consistantly shifting into 4th about 10 feet from the quarter mile finish.

I'm a noob at this stuff, but I am extremely pumped!

60ft could be better but compared to everyone else seems good. Wish my damn parents would let me run my car...

Lets put it this way....if I got caught...I would be driving around a geo metro. Even though I paid for my own car...I still got to push them some more.

Cool, not bad numbers for a nearly stock engine. What bolt ons do you plan on next? I think I would do a TB and some UDP's and also some gears would be great for getting your time down. 4.10's?

I know exactly what you guys say. Except, I dont have the luxury of saying that I paid for the car. My mom has driven it since it was brand new and now I drive it as my car. My dad thinks it already got plenty of power and that it would be dumb to make it "faster than it already is". I have to respect his opinon though because he did give mwe a very nice car." He said I could do whatever I wanted to the appearance though. I just dont want to have this eye catching stang thats practically stock. oh, well, by the time I'd be able to afford a blower or any major mod, I'd prolly be outta high schol and by then my parents wont care. Plus, we have a 65 stang coupe that my dad and I got specifically for making it a street demon.
