Default shifting redline

If I just have a couple bolt-on mods, N/A, pretty stock, is it unhealthy to shift at redline? I mean on a daily drive I usually shift around 2000-2500 just to save gas or whatever, but running the gears up to 5600 redline isn't too bad if I wanna run with someone right? I have 93000 miles on the car but my engine wont explode will it? When does everyone else shift? Advice?

If you feel the power band there and its not falling off steeply go for it.

it wont hurt it. but it wont make you any quicker. dont hold it there long and dont hit the rev limiter. shift where you feel your car stop pulling.

your probably making peak power around 5600 rpm , it probably fall off's right around redline . get full exhaust and you'll be able to shift alittle higher . you could also get the car dynoed to see exactly when it falls off .

yep you won't hurt it, just don't hit the rev limiter. Mine falls off at about 5500

yea and its different everyonewhere you go. a rev limiter stops you from reving your car too much. the stock motor can only go so many rpms without breaking. when you get to the rev limiter, iono where its set at, it starts to pull fuel. somtimes the revlimiter can be good and sometimes it can be bad.
