Borla is about as good as it gets...maybe your running rich (fuel) and thats why its popping...plus no cats doesn't help.

If I'm running to rich, Does anyone know a safe tune For the WOT fuel ratios, using my Diablo Sports Predator? I should probably take it to my Mustang Shop and have them do it on the Dyno Jet.

That's exactly what you should do. If your backfiring its because your running to rich and thats the detonation of the excess fuel. My car was running rich for a little while.

and what's wrong with flowmasters?! lol - I have Mac LT's, Prochamer with Flow weld ins and it sounds great! A lil quiet at idle, but roars at WOT...

Too be honet with you, I think you may be right about the Borla... It was the 2nd upgrade to my car, The C&L intake being the first. Now that I think about it, it's almost always had an annoying backpressure... It seems to get worse with the more Mods I do... Especially after the 4:10 gears (RPM shifts naturally going to be higher most of the time) and after my Predator toon.

Once again... Thanks... I don't wanna spend another $500 on exhaust though... You know of any good quality exhaust that I can get for around half that price?

dude what you are hearing isnt backpressure and if the use of the diablo tuner made the sound worse, than you are running rich. try dumping the stock tune back on the car. if the poping decreases, then the diablo canned tune is adding too much fuel up top and in all likelyhood not enough spark.

its your mufflers. do you have borla stingers?? or the muffler type borlas?? iono bout you but i love my popping a gargling sound. it will go away when you press in the clutch but i love the sound. it gets worse with straight thought mufflers or resonators.

I was wondering the same thing, mine pops when I downshift. I have an o/r X and magnaflows. Damn, I hope the popping isnt too bad. If it's the detonation of the excess fuel, is that bad? I don't like the word DETONATION.
