it the king cobra a very good clutch because it is a lot cheaper than the other two clutches. would it hold 400-500 HP. which one is the best between the three?

The king cobra is just a improved clutch from FRPP. Its bascially designed for the guy that goes out and throws a few boltons on a GT, and then needs to replace the clutch (if its worn out etc).

The spec and centerforce are aftermarket performance clutches with different power ratings and designs. I got the spec and I love it, but I would definatly not recommend a stage 3 on a lightly modified car.

There is no reason to spend a boatload of cash on a car that you will only realistically have a few boltons on. On the other hand, I would not want to run a king cobra on a blower/boltons GT that will see hard use.

If you swapped a 4v in a gt would the king cobra hold up or would you need something a big stronger?

king cobra is supposed to hold 40% more torque than stock. so it should hold around 400 lb/ft....

I put it in my mostly stock 97 GT and it feels great under cruising, but when i slam the hammer it grabs super tight.

King Cobra rules. What a big difference from the stock clutch, and great price!

Spec stages specify the Torue they will hold.
We have 460 RWHP holding just fine on a stage 2.
