how much does pi heads raise compression
Mine is 10.5:1. I pretty sure you can S/C A high compression motor. Look at my signature, I'm about 245 RWHP. If I go with a 75mm TB and plenum and stage 1 cams I'd be looking at 280 RWHP at best.

depends how much $$$ you have. if you are on a budget id reccomend an engine swap (pi motors can be found used for under 1500$) some cams/lt headers and the usual bolt ons when/ if you got money for them. i just figure, why pay over a grand for pi heads/cams/intake when you can get them + the motor already to go with boost friendly compression for close to the same price. gives you a fresher engine to work with anyway.

They just did a feature in MM&FF about the same thing, just without swaping to P.I heads.Needless to say it took a massive effort.N.P.I cars dyno at about 180-185rwhp stock, there's no tellling how much money it cost them to get to 300rwhp.The head/intake swap is almost mandatory. The cheapest way would deffinatly be nitrous+some bolt ons.
Yeah, go to MM&FF's website and find Project Red-Headed Step Child. If I were you, I would put nitrous on it right now to make your ride fun. Then when you get the funds, build another engine to put in it.

they help put the hp to the ground....and its gotta be more than 7-10hp, seems like headers should do that alone? why does the 4.6 respond so poorly to mods?

i know they are just trying to sell products, but rpm outlet is saying 30hp for tuner and pullies alone, and another 35 for full exhaust,, is this all b/s or what

probably. it seems like on either a 5.0 or a 4.6 that the heads have always been the weakest point because of how poorly they flow so my best bet is replace those then the other bolt ons u will net better gains

94-98 is definitly my favorite body style but the low horsepower (225) has gotta go,,what would be the key parts to get around 300 rwhp without boost... all help would be appreciated.....

please give all info you can

part / cost / hp gain

how much hp are you guys seeing from intakes and exhaust alone?
Yank the motor and put in a mild 302
