Having never ran boost on my car, i can't speak from my own experience here, but a few years back MM&FF put a Vortec SQ on a 01 GT with a stock block and made 542 rwhp and ran 11.2 in the 1/4 (project "Ice Box"). but that was with ported heads, ported Bullit intake and new cams. now i'm not saying any one system is better than another, but whatever you do make sure the package as a whole works together as a whole.

do you shift at redline when driving through town every day, everytime? ifnot then get the KB cuz u want that power at the lower rpm so u can have that power where u need it. if u are always shifting at redline then go with the centri.
my fav. and recommended will always be the Kenne Bell

If you shift at redline through town, then you would love the KB since you are someone who always needs to be in the powerband or always needs to go fast.
If you don't hit redline between every stoplight, then a centri is probably more your style as the boost is not always there, only when you need/want it.
Gixxer, you made a very great point, however, I think I see the point slightly different then how you intended. It is a very good analogy though...

ok say your driving on the freeway going 40, which car would pull harder and faster the kb or the vortech sq. now say your at a stop light, both holding a steady 3000 rpms and drop it into first, with traction which car would launch and accel better, which s/c? the whole thing im worried about is if i go with a vortech, will i like the boost it produces? will my 03 feel better then it does now? or should i spend the money and get the twin screw. im 20, ive payed my car off, a college student, live on my own, so blowing a motor isnt something i want. id rather sell the car in for a 4V. someone please help me choose the proper route..
