That's a bad Idea if you have an aftermarket alarm like myself, but then again you can't have everything you want either..lol
I can't stand that dinging, so now I'm determined and will figure it out, so give me a few days and I'l let everyonw know how to do it.

While it's dinging, try to find out where it is. I've seen it located above the glovebox and above the steering column, depending on which Fox derivative I've played with. Good Luck!

Did you put the key to the on position like I said? Not start it, but to the on position. It should quit dinging after a few seconds. Sorry we don't have all the answers. By the way, it's an accomplishment to figure $h!t out yourself.

Just do like i did and hard wire the power on the stereo. That way the keys dont even have to be in the ignition when to have the stereo be on. You can have doors open, trunk open, you name it. Just let your stereo play and no one can steal your car. . . .Just hook the stereo wire thats meant to come on when ur ignition is on to a fused always on. Just dont forget to turn ur stereo off when ur done haha. . .And if you have a high powered stereo and you play it a lot with the car off you should get an optima yellow top . . .

Stop re-wiring and doing ridiculous stuff to your wiring! Wiring your radio direct is a BAD freakin idea. What shuts the amps off??? You can't bypass the remote wire, because you need something to kill the power to your amps. That's if you have them. And NO shutting the radio off doesn't kill the power to the amps. ANYWAY!!!!!!!! THE MOMENT YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!!!!! [:-]

Put your key in your ignition and turn it to the acc positon or turn your headlights on. Underneath the dash near your right knee is the freakin chime box. You can crawl underthere and see it. It is white and has like 8 or 9 wires going into it. You should beabl to see the three holes that the chime sounds through. Simly unhook it. Thats it[sm=icon_rock.gif]!!!! It doesn't effect anything. It is just a relay to assist an idiot ding for the MORON who left his door wide open going down the freeway[sm=yikesomg.gif]...lol Or the dumbass who leaves his parking lights on at shows. NO MORE DING.[sm=yeahsmile.gif] $5.00 Please.lol
