Default i was a happy camper

so i went to the track last night. figured i would be looking at around 14.00-14.50 i would of been happy. i come up to the water box dunk my tires in it. pull out put her in second dump the clutch got a nice smokey burn out. pull up to the light. now remind you my reaction times are the greatest in the world because it my first time out, and the mods i have done were m/t street slicks, long tube headers and the ricer headlight delete. i came out of the hole at around 4500 its a 5 speed. my reaction time was .824, my 60 ft was 2.02, my 1/8 was 8.9 my 1/4 came out to be a 13.7 at 103 mph. i was a dam near happy camper. i was running hight 13's all night i couldnt beleve it. everyone on here is saying 14's i wonder why my car is running high 13's with the stock gears. i didnt touch anything other than the headers, and i had street slicks on it. the slicks had about 18lbs of air in them i could of drop them to about 15 but i didnt want to break anything.

Well congratulations! I would have said mid to low 14's myself with your mods. Are you sure that it did not have gears when you bought it assuming you bought it used?

if a stock mustang can run low 14s, then id say those slicks were worth every penny for ya. also i think you probably just know how to drive. nice times.

I got a two step tune (xcal2) and its set for 4500rpm. This means I can hold the gas to the floor and all she'll idle is at 4500 rpms this would probably help you with your track times.....get a tuner bro and dont look back I aint a fan of shift lights because I trust the feel of the car plus when at the track roll up your windows and pull your seat all the way up to the wheel (grandma style) this tip helps cause all of your movemnts are shorter you know cause your not reaching

Well the 2 step limiter holds the engine at 4500 RPM until your moving, like some people set it at 1mph. So at 1mph, the tune lets go and allows your car to rev as high as you make it.

p.s. Nice times man, glad to see you can break 13's. My first time at the track was last night and i ran a 14.2 with quite a few mods. My reaction times were all around .237-.250 but I couldnt hook for **** with my street tires. My 60 ft times sucked.
