Your going to need either adapter plates or a PI swap to use the PI intake on the NPI engine.
I do not believe a P-51 will bolt up to a NPI motor, but I could be wrong.
Unless you decide to build the engine there is no reason to go with anything but the stock PI intake at this point. The PI intake is acutally a very good peice for a stock or bolton only car. I have never seen a aftermarket intake outperform the PI intake on both sides of the RPM band, and I would even go so far as to say if you stay within the limits of the stock shortblock you will gain almost nothing while loosing quite a bit down low.
