you will make alot more with the lower compression and higher boost.

Ok. I'm getting manley rods and diamond pistons. Anyone know how much boost they can handle? my mechanic told me 14-15 psi would be no problem

You have to remember staic compression doesnt really mean much on a running motor. Thats what the compression is if the valves remain closed. But you can run on 10:1 compresson fine and have a custom cam ground for you so it will releive some of that pressure while the pistons heading up to TDC so it essentially lowers the compression ratio.

Aren't dished pistons just lower compression pistons? or does that make a difference?
