i know this isn't meant for this section but...
but there isn't hardly any help in the audio section on this forum. i went to an actual car sterio forum and they were all about putting subwoofer fest in my trunk. I'd rather my mustang not weigh as much as shamoo going down the track. Has anyone in here switched their mach460 out for better speakers with more bass? My mach460 isn't exactly what I was hoping it would be. I don't want any subs. I like everything tucked away and clean so I just want to replace the rear speakers and the front speakers down by my feet. 99 models didn't come with the speakers by the mirrors so need to worry about that. Any help or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I had a site with pics and everything on this and now i cant find it[sm=headbang.gif]. But you have to drop the black box covering everything then drop the apm bracket so you can access the speakers. Ill keep looking for the site.

yea i read something on having to drop them from the back or you have to break your covers which is out of the question. But, yea im 100% positive i don't have speakers by the mirror. i bet there was an option for 6 speaker over 4 becuase it looks like the covers have always been there from the factory.
Holy hell you know what just struck my mind. I bet that my speakers aren't mach 460 at all. I bet someone bought mach 460 covers and put them on the back. Anyone have an RPO code for the speakers in the glove box? If so can you give it to me so I can check. I have a feeling it's just crap factory speakers with mach 460 covers. If someone could throw their 460 RPO code my way I would really appreciate it!

WOW, so I just went and checked. I saw a small hole to the right of each main speaker in the trunk where it looks like the component speaker goes. I also saw 2 squares on the inside of the main speaker where it looks like the amps go. I'm guessing I got shafted on the mach 460. Well, at least I know the mach doesn't sound like crap lol. I was wondering what the hell was the deal. Is it easy to upgrade? I saw the mirror speakers for sell on ebay. Anyone ever upgraded to the mach 460 before?
