Default bad control arms?

I was wondering what symptoms of bad control arms would be? My friend told me that my control arms are bad. When I turn the wheel slightly while stationairy, there's this creaking squeak. It also happens sometimes when i go on a bumpy road. It's not too loud, but if I try I can hear it when the RPMs are low.

Does anyone know if this is my control arms? Or something else....

That is the classic mustang ball joint more than likely. A lot of us have the same thing. Do a visual inspection of the joints to make sure everything is okay. If you're getting a lot of vibration through the wheel, worry about it. Besides, control arms are stamped steel, so what would go bad? Now, the bushings on the control arms is another matter. However, since you hear it when turning the wheel, I think it's a ball joint.

allright, thanks. I heard that I can just squirt some grease into the ball joints if they're dry. Might that fix it?
