Also with the tabs in the middle of both rear seat sections, when you feel in the front between the carpet and the bottom of the seat, sometimes it helps to push down on the seat right where you're pushin the tab in, then do it to the other side.
To remove the back seat rests, you need to first remove the top molding above where the seats lock. Pull the seats down, and remove, I think 3 bolts.
After the top seat trim comes off, you'll have 5 more bolts, three more at the top of the black frame that the rear fold downs are attached to, and 2 more at the bottom left and bottom right of the seats, almost where the seat belt shoulder harness bolts to the floor.
That will now let you remove the entire black frame with seats attached(just put them back up and lock them in place like normal).

i mean, it sounds bad, it sounds like the frame has a lot of stress on it, i have 4.10's, would they make a strange sound? its starting to freak me out a little bit.

RE: back seats
they seem to work just fine...ill just take it to my mechanic and see what he says.....or ill just put the back seat up and pretend nothing ever happened, whichever turns out to be cheaper.
