ok for a mgw shifter to decide the model of shifter it says 1982-2001 (early) then the model #
then it says 2001 -2004 and a diferent # my car is a 01 how do i know wich one to buy

see how long the MGW lasts. i have a friend with a 99 cobra and hes replaced his mgw twice. now i can see the shifter handle breaking as some sort of a fluke but when he got his free replacement the shifter fork broke. now he uses a B&M MGW is new and maybe you guys have gotten good shifters but when the same style shifter breaks twice in 2 different spots im inclined to pass it by.

there is a way to tell by the sticker on the drivers side door jam. someone will chime in also.
