Does anyone not use there clutch when shifting?

RE: Does anyone not use there clutch when shifting?
Talk to a mechanic fellas. The number one way to ruin a sync (other than powershifting) is not to use the clutch.
Not using the clutch is for syncro-less transmissions like semi's have.
BTW, the definition of powershifting you got off that site is correct. You powershift with the clutch, you just don't let off the gas. And you try real hard not to miss a gear and bang it off the limiter. On a stock T-45 or 3650 (espcially the 45) its a really bad idea to powershift, I went thru 2 t-45 beating on them before I got the TKO.

if ur gonna shift without the clutch u better make damn sure u time it right and match the rpms so the car goes in gear as if u did use the clutch...but i'd never do this on a daily basis- grinding gears is not cool. i can understand if ur just messin around and wanna try it, but if ur too lazy to use a clutch- buy an auto, imo.

Powershifting is a big no no. Some people swear by it, but it only adds stress to your transmission. Its always going to come down to what the driver prefers but I love my car too much to shave a couple tenths off of my time. Just my opinion.

I slap shift my bike all day long but my T-45 is treated like it's a pair of glass slippers.
