Default spring and sway bar ?s

First question is the front sway bar. HOw good is the stocker for a lowered application? I look at the end links and they are recently replaced but all mangled up because the car is lowered so they are getting more stress on them... would an aftermarket front sway bar be meant for a lowered car? Or is it the links I need?

I'm thinking about replacing all the bushings and possibly the bar here... I get a clunk whenever the car tilts and the ford tech said the bushings on the bar where it meets the frame may be bad

As to the springs, how the F good are eibach sportlines? My driver's side of the car is lower than the pass side by about 1/4 to 1/2" (haven't measured) but the driver's side on the front is lower than the pass. side, so I get the driver's side tire rubbing on right turns...

I may have to invest in new springs to now.. I don't wanna align the car with fugged up springs [:@][:@]

Make sure the springs are seated properly. If the spring is not installed correctly it will make one side lower than the other. I learned that from a post by Code.

NO I am not a mechanic but if you do a search I believe it was the aixextreme guy who asked the question. Maybe you can find the post. I think it might have been explained in there. It is the guy w/ a blue GT who just bought the lincoln motor and plans on building it up.

The lower control arms are cut so the coil seats in there. Its possible that theyre not in the provided channel all the way. As for the sway bar, the stock one is just fine, the only problems Ive run into is the I needed to get heavy duty sway bar links. Every time Id hit a turn REALLY hard, the tube part of the sway bar link would go through the washers and pop the OE bushings off. The energy suspension ones are polyeurathane and have thicker washers.

okay, so pretty much for my sway bar, buy a full bushing kit and better end links/bushings??

and for the springs when I get me a spring compressor i'll try fudgedoodling with them... ::Sigh::

Poly bushings are a great investment, regardless of your application... Not only do they tighten up an already fatigued chassis (like your nearly 10 y/o car's), they give you a much better road handling sensation..

End links will solve some of your issues, and try to avoid the absolute solid ones.. Too much stiffness up front could yield more oversteer....
