2 GTs, Good Deals?

After searching for months I have found 2 GTs in my area that are almost exactly what I want. Both are 5 speeds and have leather interior. One is black and a 1999 w/ 99k miles. The other is a 2000 w/ 97k miles. They are both listed for just under $10,000 and I have a feeling I can talk them down to $9,000. I am going to go and check them out this weekend. How do the prices sound? According for KBB and Nada they seem to be priced pretty well. What should I look at when I check them out and what should I make sure the mechanic looks at?

my friend just paid 10,000 from a dealer for a GT just like mine but a hardtop. And i am beginning to sell mine for 9,000 just to see what kind of response i get, and i have had tons of interest already

Well around here I think stangs are more expensive. The cheapest GT I have found was like 7500 but it had about 120,000 miles. I live in MA.

Those prices aren't bad... both cars should be the exact same, at least that's how they came from the factory, no difference in 99/00. It's a little high, but if you can talk them down you should be in a good range.

I also paid 4500 for a 97 coupe with 113000 hard miles on it. I'm learning the hard way... if the car acts weird in any way, engine, trans etc... fu** it. Oh well, I'm learnin and moddin all at once

What do you think I should be able to talk them down to?

have you considered looking elsewhere??

in my opinion, both of those prices SUCK....

there arent many cars that I would pay 10K for with 100K miles on them already, and since its a Mustang, you can be sure many of the miles have been abused,, i know its an ugly truth, but that is quite an investment

ive said it before, but i found my '99 two years ago, with 48K stock, for 9,500

look around, be patient, as much as that sucks

Depends on where you live. Stangs are pretty expensive in California. Most are mid teens.
