Default exhaust idea, would this hurt?

ok i know 3 inch pipe loses some low end due to lack of back pressure but how bad is it? i know the 3" wont fit over the axle just 2 1/2 but i was thinkin of havin custom 3" side pipes and a custom 3" o/r hpipe made, the price for me on custom is cheap... but anways would this destroy my low end or just drop it a tiny amount, i love the look of side pipes on a stang and all the kits are way to expensive....

please give me some input

i dont see the need to run 3 inch exhaust unless you have forced induction... just my 2 cents..

3" exhaust is BAD on a non forced induction car. Its not because of the lack of backpressure its because of the lack of flow which will cause backpressure. A NA car will not push out enough gasses at a fast enough speed to keep them flowing even at high RPMs. Stick with 2.5 untill you have a blower and around 600hp.

If you get good mufflers your back pressure will be just fine. Itll make it sound REALLY deep and rumbly.
