Default stupid question??

My friend has a svt lightning truck, and is getting a kb 2.2 for it. He offered to give me his ported eaton blower that he originally had on there. I have a 1997 GT. I know its very unlikely, but is there any way i could get the blower from his truck to work on my GT??

Not sure, but I'd think PI heads at a bare minimum. I'm not up on Lightnings.

His blower is for the 5.4 and you have a 4.6. I dont think it will work.

yeah, ive thought about the difference in liters too. I just thought it would save me tons of money if i could figure a way to get this thing on. Im in the process of saving up for an SQ trim, and why not get a free roots blower over a centrifigul?

Oh, hell. I thought early Lightnings were 4.6? See, I told you I didn't know **** about them!

However, the 5.4 is wider than the 4.6, so I don't think you can make it work. A 4.6 blower/intake can be made to fit a 5.4 with plates, but I don't think the opposite is true.

i know you just got the hood but you will need a bigger hood then the one you got. the cobrs get the air for the intake from the top of the s/c. so it makes it that much taller.

first pull your motor and try to put it on. im thinking the lower intake will be alittle too wide. if thats the case you might have to have the intake shaved
