RE: fact or fiction????
The SCT programmer has the ablity to remove rev limits and MPH limits if you prefer. The 2003 Ford ranger (4.0 sohc w 3.55 gear) had an MPH limit of 92 MPH. I am sure that this is related to the ongoing 4x4 SUV issue when Firestone was accused of making inferior tires. Truth be known, hot rod momma's running late for soccer practice over drove the tire limits. Back to the topic at hand. After a dyno massage and reprogramming via MD motorsport of Cincinnati and the people from Super Chips Custom tuning devision, the truck was able to utilize the full range of the 120 MPH speedometer.

RE: fact or fiction????
I've hit 120MPH and was like FU*CK ME, lol. But I'll say that those shows on Speed are great and yes Test Drive I believe is in Europe where they film that, so more than likely they were talking about those cars.

It always seems like the only limted speed mustangs are automatics.
I had my car at 150+ MPH with only a set of weld in flows and a K&N, no computer tune. It was pretty much done at 150 but I never hit a fuel cut off.

Governors are set at your stock tire rating... for example if your stock tires are rated to 130mph, you're going to be governed from the factory around 115... Look at the speed rating on your tires... and make sure you don't go over then that - because if you do, they have a REALLY good chance of blowing, and killing you... going that fast none of us are that good of a driver to handle that...
