You can run a blower on a PI swapped car if its low boost and a conservative tune...a vortech would be ok but a positive displacement blower like a KB or Roots won't last long at all. I know a guy who used the FRPP roots blower on his PI swapped 96 and was only running 5-6 psi and blew his pistons in 3 months.

Centrifical blowers actually benefit from alittle compression but the stock internals don't agree. Go slap a KB on your PI swapped car then when it blows call KB and tell them you read it was ok in one of his articles and they will laugh at you.
