Default Heads/cams/intake

As my next performance mod for my 97 gt, I am looking into doing heads/cams/intake. Originally, I was going to go with Modular Powerhouse stage 2.5 heads, PI intake, and custrom grind VT cams. After doing the math, this just adds up to way too much money as to what im looking to spend. Mainly the heads. Does anybody recommend some heads that i should look into getting? I'm pretty set on the regular PI intake because any other intakes are a sh** load of money and ive heard dont add much hp. And I've always heard good notes about the custom grind VT cams. So basically I need some advice as to which set of heads I should go with for the 97 gt...thanks guys

Bad customer service and super bad quality control on the Ford heads.

I am just coming up with a rough setup in my head of what I'd like to do, here it is and let me know what you think

PI Intake Manifold $300
Stage 2 Heads 227 cfm int & 192 cfm @ .500 $1400
Stage 2 comp cams $650
Comp cams spring kit $240

After checking out their sebsite, this is what I came up with...heres there site: http://www.modularmustangracing.com/

I'm in the same boat as you are. You should look at the steen racing Stage II complete pi swap package. You get the intake, complete heads, some of the necessary hardware, for $1650. Flow numbers are roughly 215 intake and 180 exhaust @ .500 lift. Those numbers aren't as good as the ones you have, but if you took that path you wouldn't have to spend the $300 on the intake and the $240 on the springs. Plus you get some other necessary installation hardware.

Keep us posted on your progress. I'm tryin' to do the same thing in a couple months...

98 gt, can you post the site that you found the stage 2 package for steen racing. I've checked on their website and can't seem to find the package...
