e10 is 10% ethanol and 90% gasoline. i use e10 in my 01 gt.

and i do not think that mustangs are e85 ready. according to wikipedia the only ford vehicles that are "flex-fuel" capable are the Crown Victoria, F-150, Taurus, Sport Trac XLT, Ford Ranger, Ford Explorer, Mercury Grand Marquis, Mercury Mountaineer, Lincoln Town Car, and Mercury Sable.

most gas stations now are using some amount of ethanol. Here in ny its 10%. now ford and GM are using all new cars capible with E85 (goal being 85% ethanol) but also can use ne other ratio with atleast 15% gas. Basicly E is ethanol and the number is the % of it used. so you car most likley isnt good for E85....but E10 which issnt concidered an alternet fuel u can use....check out this website http://www.eere.energy.gov/afdc/altfuel/ethanol.html

i believe any car made after 96 is able to run on e85, with a swap of a fuel pump, and a new sensor in the gas tank. i heard its about 300 bux (well worth it for the gas price difference that will take place in a few years) any car made before 96, may not have the correct crap for it. because e85 may eat away at some of the rubber in the engine.
