yea tell me about the detectors dont work. me and my girlfriend were out on our first date, she has a mustang too. were both stang junkies, so she wanted give it a little, u know how that goes. anyway were on the interstate at 1:00 in the mornin comin back from the beach. i havent seen a car in like 5 miles. so i say **** it. i had my car pegged out. all the sudden im comin up on this car. in the meantime my detector is on and workin. so while im comin up on this car i slow down to like 110. he speeds up in his dodge neon. he catches me rolls his window down, smiles at me and waves. out of nowhere my radar goes NUTZ..... then i see him slow down, scoot behind me, and flip on the lights. he gave me a 350 ticket for 100 in a 60. he said he shoulda taken me to jail since it was my 14th ticket. ha ha. but he cut me a deal. so dont go with the radars. he even mentioned somethin to me about it. dont waste ur money, they dont work.

only the v6's have the governers, I think, because they have h-rated tires or something that isn't z-rated. if a GT doesn't have z-rated tires from the factory, it will probably have a governer (if there is such a thing).

i beleive its only the 99-00 GTs with the deluxe autos, that have teh 3.08 gears 16" rims and have a 118 governor, ive heard of a governor at 145ish, but anyways 5th gear is an absolute dog anyways to get through, even with 4.10s it takes a while to get to around 155ish
