If you dont want to miss a shift, Steeda Tri-ax shifter for $189. Stangnet.com</P>

Get a K&amp;N filter and at least take off the horn on your air filter box. Throttle response will be significantly increased. K&amp;N's are about $20-$40 for the filter. You can find completecold air induction kits from K&amp;N, MAC, Densecharger, BBK, etc.starting around $180 or so.</P>

A CB exhaust with magnaflow mufflers and 2.5" pipes wouldnt be a bad start either. Call around for the best price. Usually privately owned muffler shops are the best way to go price wise. Try to stay away from the larger chains. One of them tried to charge me the same price for just 2 mufflers that I paid for my entire CB. </P>

A good H or X pipe will give you decent gains in HP as well. If you want to stay street legal, get a catted one however they are more pricey. Bassani and BBKmake great H and X pipes. Starts around$320 or so for that. Off road pipes are cheaper, give you more horse butare not emissions friendly. </P>

Gears. Its up to you, the debate over 3:73 or 4.10 is never goingto die so like I said its up to you. Ford Racingis the only ones that I wouldgo with and you can find them for$140 at GEFRacing.com. </P>

If you dont plan on getting a dyno tune, get Steeda's timing adjuster. Will add a few ponies and is rather inexpensive. Pullies are another way to add a few horses as well. Underdrive pullies slow down some of your accesories and speed your crank shaft up. Both the pullies and the TA you can from Steeda for $159.</P>

Dont forget about your suspension as well. Stiffen up your frame with some sub-frame connectors and plant your wheels with some lower control arms. I have heard that some muffler shops will put sub-frames of their own on for cheap so check around. If you need to buy them pre-fab, maximummotorsports.com is a goodplace to go for suspension. But make sure they are the weld on kind andNOT the bolt on kind. SFC are around $115 for the full lengths. Lower control arms start at around $300 or so. </P>

CB exhaust w/ mid pipe-- about 5 to 15hp more or lessdepending on the setup you go with. </P>

Gears--Does not give you hp but lots of torque. I have heard theequivilant of about 30 hp or so. </P>

Do some more research on this before emptying the account. If you want to stay NA or supercharge your car will depend on exactly what you need to buy for your car. Hoped this helped. </P><edited><editID>wei462</editID><editDate>37797.0496412037</editDate></edited>

On a scale of 1-10 I give it an 8. You can change your rev limiter and your top speed depending on the rating of your tires. If you installgears or larger/smaller tires it will correct your speedo. The power program itself seemed to help a bit. If you have an AODI can see it being very helpful due to the fact that you can change your shift points. Its very easy to use, the port is the OBD II porton the right hand side of drivers side footwell. Just plug it in anddo what it tells youto do.It does recommend thatyou get a cooler thermostat (180*). You need to run the highest octane fuel that you have in your area or it will cause the engine to ping. The only thing that I didnt like about was the price. I paid $325 for mine and I think that was a little steep. This is just something Im using until I can find a dyno and get my car tuned there. </P>

When you plug it in, it reads the program that the factory has installed. Then it asks a series of questions like tire size, gearing, etc.

Dyno tuning is where you go to a shop that has a dyno machine, they plug your car in and tweek the computer to get every horse they can out of it. They can get exspensive if you are going to do a lot of mods one at a timethat require the tune to be changed, i.e. new fuel pump, new injectors, new MAF, supercharger, turbos, etc. </P><edited><editID>wei462</editID><editDate>37798.1768171296</editDate></edited>
