it'll be louder... kinda self explanatory that it would be louder if you removed the silencer.

I didn't think it gave that much of a gain. Man I'm getting rid of the CAI and going back to stock and remove the silencer so I can get a gain.

Now your filter can draw in hot under hood air so you can expext a bit of a loss of power. It's not really a silencer but simply part of the intake system that draws in cooler air from the inner fenderwell. I would put it back on and if anuthing cut it so it still covers the gap between the airbox and the inner fender but so that it will draw in cooler air. It's a little loss or a little gain. mark
