My Dad wants to buy me a 3" cowl hood for me as a welcome home gift. He found this one on ebay and we were wondering if they are anygood. Has anybody bought a hood from the seller Hood4sale on ebay? If so what is the quality of the hood?

My friend bought a hood off ebay for cheep. It feels like plastic from a nextel toy, dosent align right and has 4 random holes in the back of the cow that look like a bird house. Ask code where he bought his from. I know on their website they has a 3 inch or 2 1/2 inch hood i think for $260. Dont forget you get what you pay for. Ebay-ers will also charge you a arm and a leg for shipping.

I don't see anything specifically wrong with it but I personally don't buy any big ticket items for my car off of ebay. It's been my experience that you get what you pay for when it comes to this stuff. I think it's good to always stick with the general thought of... if you have doubts then walk away.

The hood pictured is for an 87-93 so if you get it you might want to have your dad confirm its for a 99-04. IMO, go with HO Fibertrends 2" cowl, that way I can stare in awww at your ride and you can help me finalize my decision when I get back.

2" is to small for me 3 or 4" is what i want. I think i am going to have him get the one on ebay (you have to tell then to send the 99-04 hood). As long as it fits right I can prep and paint it to look nice.

Did you buy it? Ne way, ya i bought a hood for my fox from them. I will never buy a hood from them again. Its worth exactly what you pay/paid for it. I finally got it to fit decent and it still wasnt perfect. I mean it looked good from far away, but it was **** when you would get up close. You also have to do some modifications to get your hood latch to work right. Its such a PITA i would just buy a better one from cervinis next time. JMO.

I bought an ebay carbon fiber hood back when I had an integra and it fit like sh*t. It came up short on the left side so you could see the intake with the hood closed! And carbon fiber isn't like fiberglass, where you can just add more on if you have too(which isn't very easy at all). No way in hell will I ever buy anything like that from an ebay shop.

get the 4in from HO Fibertrends. I just got mine on and its really nice

I will probably get a 3" from HOF. I think 4" is overkill, IMO, lol.
