i hear u. thats why i dont want it. Id stick with a 2v. 4v parts are pretty priceyand when u want to do headwork its double cost and double the work. even w/out boost u can make a 2v go in the 12's EASY by building both the top and bottom with bolt ons

i made 406whp without my methanol on 10psi and then my baby broke a rod so dont make the mistake i did and push 400plus on the stock block it CAN be done for a while but i tell you what its not fun having to look at my car in the garage broke down i wish i wouldve spent the money to forge it a while back and i couldve been making 500 plus on it and it still be running today (hopefully)

people always knock these littl 4.6 2v. But with the right bolt ons and suspension work these cars can be pretty quick.

To answer your original question, it is not worth it to mess swapping over to the 4v stuff if you are planning on running less than about 600-650 WHP.
You can make 550-600 on the stock heads/intake if you swap out the camshafts and the shortblock for a forged assembly. The 2v heads are restrictive, but they arn't that bad on FI applications until you start trying to make big numbers.
BTW, you don't need nitrous on a 2v car to run 12s. Even with only a few cheap suspesion mods, full boltons/cams/gears and a good set of drag radials will get ya there. You can run 12s on slicks with very little done, say exhaust and gears.

i want to get go that high eventually but for the start it would just be a mach 1 motor with cams and then eventually a SC along with extra i mean is it worth me doing it now for the future. I dont want to strip anything out of my car. put it this way would it be easier to pay like 5000 for a SC tuned and all that on this thing or should i take the 4v for 400 bucks change a few things and drop it in. My main concern is me paying more to just drop the motor then i woud to SC my car now. my plan if i do it would be get the motor in october try to get all the thing i need for it by tax time and then drop it in. With the super charger i would just have to wait until i have all of the money which will take a while.
