Default Help with reverse glow gauge install

I received my new silver reverse glow gauges from UPR yesterday. Actually I ordered WHITE, but the silver looks ok, so I'm going to try them out anyway. [>:]

The instructions provided with the gauges are spartan, so I was wondering if anyone has experience installing this particular product. I'm concerned about making sure that the needles' positions are recorded properly, and I'm totally confused about where to put the metal switch that comes with the kit -- the instructions say to attach it to the dashboard... wth?

Thanks for any help and input.

when u put the gauge insert directly over the actual gauge, are the holes on the gauge insert big enough to fit through? if they are, then point all your needles upwards WITHOUT taking them off or anything and ask a friend to help you so you can slide the gauge insert right beneath the needles and over the needles center without too much stress. i placed my metal swtich (2 color inverter switch) under my steering wheel column. And its stuck there :P

When you say stuck, do you mean that you like it where it is, or that you put it there and can't move it anymore? Is there any other place to put the switch? It looks like it's meant to be drilled in somewhere, but I really don't want to start making holes in my dash.
