Default Nitrous questions

i just installed the zex nitrous system on my 2002 mustang gt, i have the 75 jets on it right now, the first time i sprayed it was amazing car went very fast felt like i had a 2nd engine... The 2nd time i sprayed it, it felt the same. then the next day i sprayed it again and i didnt have the same kick as it did before, i didnt use much nitrous when i sprayed it the first and 2nd time, the first 2 times i sprayed maybe for 15 seconds total. I do not have a Bottle heater, or a preassure gauge... Why do you guys think this is happening is it beacuase the bottle isnt hot enough and i need more pressure? I also do not have a purge kit, so could it be beccause of the old n20 in the lines?? thanks for the help

15 seconds is a long time. Did you get a full bottle? I would definitely get a nitrous pressure gauge on your bottle. Ideally, you want bottle pressure to be around 900-100lbs. Also, you want to make sure you don't have any air in the lines. I ran my last kit without a purge, but you have to self purge to get a clean, full shot.

when you self purge, do you just take the line of the n20 bottle and let all the n20 in the line spray out?

No, just activate your system and give the motor a good pump until the nitrous activates. Then you will have all nitrous in your lines.

Yeah, the point of a purge is to get the old nitrous out of your lines. If you don't have a purge kit, then just tap the throttle for a second or two (WOT) to get the old n20 out. Once that is done, you will have a clean shot (like Code said).
