2004 Cobra vs. 2005 Mustang GT Please Comment!
 

Hey Stang lovers,
Im lookin to get my first Stang really soon. I dont have that big of a budget. I want to get a 04 cobra but I would have no money left for mods. I would also like to get a 05 mustang gt but also I might not have enough money for any mods. I was looking at a 2004 mustang gt- Sonic Blue. I was thinking of getting that for a good deal and then having money left over for mods and possibly turbo in the future. Do u guys like the 04 or 05 body style better? What do u guys think?

Either one would be good and you can get some really good deals on 04's right now.

If you get the 04' Cobra, you will have more power right-away and you could easily afford a Pulley swap to gain even more power.

Also, if you were to buy a GT and put a turbo on it....Turbos are amazing for power! The drawback is they are very expensive and if something goes wrong (and it will) you will spend an arm and a leg to get it fixed.

imo get the 04 cobra much better car the new stangs have not grown on me yet

my god man, how is that even a valid comparison. 04 COBRA!!!!! It pwns the gt in SOOOO many ways. IMO its even better than the gt500.

03-04 Terminator IMO.

You can pick one up cheaper than a new 06 and you'll start off with more hp and trq and a lighter platform to build on. The computer in the 03-04's are much easier to deal with than the new Stangs as well. Not to mention there are gobs of aftermarket products for the Cobra. Although, it's only a matter of time before the after market crowd goes bananas with the new stangs. Even more than they have now.
