BBK o/r x-pipes POP ALOT. So, which do you want...H or X? The h will be deeper and the x will be louder.

Ok heres the scoop. H is usless at high rpms. X will give you more power but H sounds deeper. Sound= H. Performance= X. You need to get MIL eliminators or any good tuner will have an option to turn them off.

Terrible information here.

The difference in horsepower between a H and X pipe is not even noticable (power wise) on a boltons/lightly modded GT. Your talking about trading maybe 2-3 WHP up top for 2-3 Ft/Lbs down low.

At MOST a midpipe is only going to increase your whp by 10-12. You should buy your midpipe by deciding which one sounds the best to you and your personal taste.

BTW, I have heard time and time again that X pipes, espcially o/r ones, sound like complete *** on a flowmaster muffler/catback. You should defiantly go with a H pipe of some sort.

I have been pretty happy with my BBK X, it doesn't seem to have the "rattle" that everyone complains about, but I think that is mostly from bbk midpipes with cats on them, not the o/r type.

Mac is the cheapest for a reason. If you can afford a few more bucks for the BBK pipe it is worth it.

H pipe-Deeper sound, classic 60's muscle car sound
X pipe-Higher pitch sound, like an Indy car sound
Your choice!
Personally I'm old school, H-pipe all the way!
