Please Help! ASAP!
My car is on stands right now, I'm trying to change brake pads but EVERYTHING is going wrong! First, the factory lug wrench would not fit into the bore of the aftermarket rims, so I had to file down the wrench which took me 2 hours. Finally, the lug wrench fits and I can take out the bolts holding the wheels on, but the one security bolt is stripped on one of the wheels and the piece won't lock in! How do I take this damn bolt off? Please I would like to finish this ASAP!

When I bought my car it didn't come with the lug key.
I took it to my local Discount Tire and they removed the locking lugs and sold me a new set of 4 for $30 out the door. So, that was about $10 in labor for four lugs in the condition you have, as the new wheel locks themselves cost $20 of that $30. I thought it was going to be far more expensive and difficult.
They used the stripped-nut style sockets that are made for wheel lugs but had to use the old "hammer a socket on there" method with one of the stubborn ones.

The gator wrench will do the trick perfectly fine and cost you ZERO out of your pocket. Go to most any auto store and theyll loan you the tool to do the job. All you have to do is pay for it up front and when you return it you get your money back.

Use a socket that will barley fit on it and hammer it on then take it off. Its actuall easy and is all a shop will do put they will charge you. Had to do it when I lost my wheel key.
