you dont want to shift right when you loose the power in your dyno chart because then you will just be low in the rpm range when you get in the next gear. You need to go a little more than where your power stops so then when you shift your rpms will be a little higher to begin with.

+1 Their tachs show the redline to be 6800rpm, and my buddies pulled all the way to it no problem.

I would probably shift around 6200 so I could get through the power curve and have high enough RPM's for the next gear. Does the '01 have the stock rear?

I have a stock 99 GT and here's my shift points

1st = wind it out to 30 mph

2nd = 30 mph

3rd = 55 mph

4th = 80 mph

5th = 100 mph

the rpms for the above are around 4500 - 5000
