totalled...
well last sunday i was making a left turn, and someone ran through the red light and hit my stang with a jeep grand cherokee. his bumber had minimal damage, but the stang ended up being totalled. it ended up not being my fault and im not hurt.
and on thursday i bought an 04 mach 1 with 40,000 miles. i had a few questions about it that i hope someone can help me out with.
im not getting very good gas mileage at all. approximately 13-17. is this normal for the 4v 4.6? how does it compare to other mach 1 owners?
also as i went to replace the paper air filter with a k&n, i noticed some kind of resonator attached to the intake above the valve cover. why is that there? can i remove it and plug the small hole with something?
im guessing it has the TR-3650 in it?
thank you

RE: totalled...
God doesn't close off one path without opening another.
Glad to hear you didn't get hurt, and congratulations on the new purchase.
THink about it... the 4v engine has twice as many valves, so it can pull in and burn more fuel and air. There is your MPG, and that sounds about right. Also, try feathering it and see what happens.
Best of luck with the car
