Default The truth on tubular K-members

A few months ago I purchased a granatelli k-member and A arm set up. All seemed good until the damn thing showed up and I start reading the instructions and it only talks about the coil overs I was suppose to buy. I didn't/don't want to switch to coil overs in the front so I ended up returning it and dealing with the clearance and weight of the stocker. Now with my 5.4 project in move I really am looking towards the k-member to get me some of the space I'm going to need. Is it possible or is there a company that makes an after market tubular k-member with out having to switch to their coil over system?

I would call either UMI Perfromance or BMR Fabrication and ask them.

i garuntee that if you would have looked closer before ordering you could have figured out that you NEEDED coilovers. everybody has it in their description and it comes in every k member kit

i dont think you need the coilovers. QA1 sells an attactment that goes on, but i went ahead with the coilovers anyway.

Negative. There are several manufacturers who make K-members that either come with or can be optioned with spring perches, which are needed if you want to run your stock strut-spring setup with a tubular K-member.

Check UPR, Maximum Motorsports, Granatelli. You can find Tubular K-member's with add on options such as spring perches for stock spring-strut setups. Usually adds around 50.00 to the price.

I have seen tubular A-arms that have a perch for the stock springs on them... But you can also just use the stock stamped control arms and get a tubular k-member. Just get a k-member that replicates the stock one, because ones like MM and Griggs I know change the k-member from stock and it is ment to work with all the components together.
