I am just wondering what everyone thinks is the best gas brand( price vs any pinging).......and if all that additive crap shell and others makes any difference??

always have had good luck with BP. Quality fuel, car runs good on it, and have gotten the best mpg with that as compared to the other companies around here.

ha ha forgot about 76, i heard arco is the best when tested but word of mouth is best... i used shell in my boat one time and it pinged so i stayed away from there, but it might have been a crappy station

I used to work for BP.

The fuel at your BP station is the same at the citgo station, is the same as the shell station.

There are two major importers of gasoline in the U.S, BP & Exxon

When a Vessel (300,000 barrels * 42 gallons in the barrel) docks, this entire vessel will be sold to BP or Exxon.

From here BP or Exxon will sell part to citgo, part to shell, etc.

So basically, the gas at your shell station is the same as the gas at the BP station is the same as every other station in the vicinity.

Talk about a shady business...holy $hit. It's amazing how these major distributors can manipulate the price of gas.

If always fill up at Meijer cuz its always cheaper than the other guys.
