Bad smell

RE: Bad smell
that's probably the mildew. Were the carpets soaked? I'd suggest running a carpet cleaner and then a wet vacuum through the carpets inside, and let the car sit with the doors and trunk open, spray febreeze everywhere and let it air out. Should do the trick

That Sucks. I worked for a detail shop at a dealership through high school. That is one of the hardest smells to get rid of if the shampooing and febreez does not work then u will need to remove the carpet and while you have it out use some sort of degreaser and dilute with water so its not too strong and spray on the carpet. Rub gently with a rag or something not too hard or too much because you will ruin the carpet. Then rinse all the degreaser out of the carpet and let dry in the sun. That is what we did a couple of times and it seemed to work. Good Luck.

I agree on pulling out the carpet and seats. Then wash out the carpet and the insulation thats under the carpet with pine-sol. Let it dry real good and re install it. In between, you can put the seats back in so you can still use the car while everything else dries out. I had a similar issue with my jeep and thats what I did. My problem was the a/c leaked all of the condensation inside the jeep instead of outside it. [&:] What a mess and bad smell after a while. [:@] Now everything`s good.

RE: Bad smell
My old vert would leak when it rained so I experimented with lots of mildew busters. My best results came with spraying the wet areas down with Lysol liberally (kills the mildew), letting it dry, then vacuuming. Worked everytime. Best of luck!
