I've always been told to shift no later than 5600 because the 4.6 runs outta steam, I'd reccomend changing that to about 5500 if you can.

ORIGINAL: sfi

Shifts about 6100 rpm at WOT and is making power to that rpm.
You guys are crazy. After i put in the diablo tuner my car makes power up to about 6800. At the drag i shift at about 6500 and even then its chomping at the bit but i dont wanna push it. I set the rev limiter to 6800 but i cant believe you guys shift at 5500!!! There is still a lot of go left in my stang. Then again there wasnt so much before i had the tuner. It really changes the top end of your car. Before my car didnt pull that well in 5th at highway speeds but now i can be going like 65 and romp it in 5th and itll take me to 120 and beyond like nothing.

I ran a 14.2@98 with only the mods in my signature. Was on stock tires and gears with a 2.2 or 2.3 60'. Can't remember exactly.
Is your car an auto? What kind of weight reduction did you do?

I have'nt done any weight reduction, I just put that in my sig trying to be funny after reading an import thread. Thats another story. I have a 5 speed manual. Is that a good time?? I had another guy with 4.10's and exhaust that could not beat me at the track and was very upset. We did about 6 runs back to back right before the track closed. He worked the burnout box and asked if I wanted to run him, so he brought his mustang up.
