Default WEIGHT ON convertable,1/4 mile time

Does anyone have a 2002 GT convertable. What is the weight of the car ?? I had my car tuned and pulled a dyno of 256.9 rhp/ 289.9 rwt. ,torque converter locked and mods below. the car is a auto and is tuned to the most aggressive shifting pattern. Shifts about 6100 rpm at WOT and is making power to that rpm. What 1/4 time do you think Id run. I havn't got a chance to get to the track and I was guessing in the 13.8 range.

3,500 sounds about right.
I ran 15.8 in the thin air of Colorado with just a catback exhaust. I have since added a catted X-pipe and a Kenne Bell 2.1L S/C. Wonderful additions!!!
I have not gone back to the track yet. Nor have I gone back to the dyno shop yet. I'd expect that my time will be close to 13.0.

When I go back to the track I may only get ONE shot at finding out what it can do. With a convertible, if I run any faster than 13.99 I think I will need a good helmet and also a full roll bar! I have the light bar, but that won't pass the safety inspection. So, I'll either have to throttle back to try and run steady 14.0's or give it one good run and then get told to not come back. That's a bummer for those of us with verts. Maybe your track will not be as strict.

I would hope for more than a 13.0 with the K-B 2.1. I was thinking about that for next year. I am quite sure my '99 drop top will do high 13's with the 75mmBBK/C&L plenum and Brenspeed tuned SCT on the way. What boost are you running with the K-B? Mark

That's terrible, my 98 gt ran 14.7 with nothing but exhaust

its kind of hard for us to tell you what your gonna run. every car is different and everyone has different techniques at driving. the best way is go to the track and find out. we have some people that have a 99-04 gt that run mid-high 14's and then others have run 13.8-14.0
