I found this article about OSW (Orlando SpeedWorld aka. Bithlo track) Interesting read...
I know what you're thinking-- Bithlo? Why the hell would you be caught anywhere near Bithlo, especially on a Saturday night? There are people who live in our city that don't even know where Orlando Speed World is (indeed, one of our Shock Squaders got lost trying to find it). But we here at OrlandoCityBeat have a name for the rare breed that frequents OSW-- and no, it ain't Redneck. We call them Engineheads. And they were out in full force this weekend at Saturday Night Street Drags.
Built in 1966, Orlando Speed World has the only 1/4 mile NHRA sanctioned dragstrip in Orlando. Despite popular belief, SR 436, SR 50 and I-4 are not sanctioned by the NHRA as legal racetracks. So unless you enjoy quiet evening rides in the back of a police car, take it to the track.
For the low price of $15 USD (pesos are not accepted) you may take your 580 HP pushing Camaro, your '94 Civic with intake and super sweet body kit, or your mom's mini-van down the track. This price also includes FREE ambulance service should your body need to be recovered from mangled and burning wreckage.
The dragstrip at Orlando Speed World is about as much fun as you can have in your car, without being arrested.

The Test & Tunes are usually always $15. There are weekend Test & Tunes available at Gainesville, but I was just suggesting it on a Wednesday so it wouldn't be as crowded and we'd get more runs in. Oh well, if you guys want to run in the weekend thats fine.

Gainesville has Test and Tune on Wednesday nights. It is $20.00 to run what ever. I have seen 4-wheelers run the 1/8th to snow-mobiles run the 1/4. Yes a snow-mobile. It is a very nice track, considering they have the gatornationals, and super chevy show there. They keep the glue put down very well on the track. I have run it before, and it is nice. Very well set up for a wednesday night meet.

Isn't there anyone in south FL??? If so, I know Moroso does a Midnight Madness thing once or twice a month at their track where they are open from 6pm - 1am. I tried to go last Saturday, but the weather was too crapy. This track isn't the best, but it's a 1/4 mile and you can't get arrested.
