If you get the handheld tuners, you can adjust your shift firmness, and shifting points.

You can also get a shift kit, which will physically alter your tranny.

Code, I have seen you mention those things on more than one occasion. What shift kits and stall converters do you recommend?

iF YOU HAVE A HANDHELD, YOU CAN LOCK THE CONVERTER AS WELL AS SET YOU SHIFTING FIRMNESS TO ALMOST MAX. YOU MAY LOOSE ALITTLE TORQUE, BUT GAIN IN IT QUICKNESS. i JUST HAD MY CAR TUNED W/ A SCT AND THEY LOCKED MY CONVERTER AND ADJUSTED MY SHIFTING POINTS/ AS WELL AS SHIFTING FIRMNESS AND IT RUNS REAL GOOD WITHOUT NO SHIFT KIT.
MY CAR CHIRPS IN SECOND LOUD AND PUSHES YOU INTO THE SEAT EACH SHIFT , EVEN DOING OVER 80MPH.
THE ONLY THING I DON'T KNOW IS IF THIS IS GOOD OR BAD FOR THE TRANSMISSION, BECAUSE IM SSURE LINE PRESSURE IS AT IT'S MAX. THE OTHER DOWNFALL IS THAT IT SHIFTS HARD IF YOU AT PART THROTTLE OR WOT. KIND ON ANNOYING WHEN YOUR CRUISING.

I shift a 6K in 1st, 5800 in 2nd and about 5500 in 3rd and so far those have gotten me the best times. I never shift less than 5500 rpm's when racing.
