Default Just Got Her!!

Just bought an 04 DSG GT. 5 speed, Leather, Interior upgrade package, Traction control ... the works. Love it!!! Only things I have bought for her so far is:
K&N
Mach1 Grille delete
Mach1 Shift ****
Alluminum cup holder delete
Roush white face gauges.

I'm wondering if you all can help me out with performance mods. I have maybe $300 to $400 dollars a month to spare on upgrades. What should I do first??? Let me know what you think. I've been driving myself crazy trying to decide.

A few questions if you guys have time.
1. What type of tranny does the 04 have?
2. Gear ratio?? Is it 3.27? 5th gear sucks!!!
3. Why does the car move around when you hit bumps?

Any input will help!
Thanks alot.
Phill

1)Its the tremec T3650 tranny
2)I have 3.55s but i think your right on the GTs
3)THe car moves around? Hmmm my mach doesnt do that but i got a different suspension setup.

THe first thing i did was a slp catted xpipe. 4 cats is 2 too many for me. Gears would be a great upgrade to.

Start with airflow. Intake and exhaust upgrades are the most popular ones. Do the pretty visual stuff later.

Would I notice a big difference in HP if I changed out the gears to the 3.55s? Or should I go higher (numerically)?

I'd like to maintain good highway rpm. I'd also like to burn the tires in third gear

I'm assuming a 5 speed...go with 3.73's. 4.10's not good for the highway. Bese bang for the buck upgrade, IMO...although, haven't done that yet! LOL!

Just FYI, gears don't really change your HP. The shorter gears (like 3.73 or 4.10) will improve your 1/4 times and your ability to launch quicker.
