I can tell the difference, and 18's look incredible... its same price as 17's, but the tire price is true.

Isn't there artually performance to take into consideration? I know it cant be too much, but it takes more power to get a larger wheel spinning. Someting about inertia/centrfigul force if I remember correctly. There's trade offs between too small and too big, and I would imagine that factory specs use the best medium. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Yeah, physics. ALLEGEDLY, 18's perform less than the 17's.

But pose on brotha

It's called moment of inertia I believe. And yes you're right, more mass farther out is much harder than less mass closer in, but it can actually work so that the 18s can be lighter than the 17s and still require more power to turn, but you aren't going to notice that most likely. As for centrifugal force...there's technically no such thing...

I love my 18s, once I lower it the car will look sick, IMO. However, the tires are a bitch. I have 265 up front and 285 in the rear, got a decent deal off of a website, but I wanted a wider rear tire, but it was too expensive at the time. It just boils down to being a matter of personal choice. Just stay away from the 20s for the love of God. haha
