MIDPIPE PRICE

MIDPIPE PRICE
I finally got my price on my midpipe. I went to a local shop and for a BBK off road X with the MILs installed, shipped, with tax out the door they want $400 flat. I know i would do it myself but no tools or knowhow. So does that price sound good?

RE: MIDPIPE PRICE
If it's stainless steel then it's an okay price. If it's not then that's way too much. I paid $189 for my stainless x O/R but I got the cheapo brand called MAC. BBK or Magnaflow stainless goes all over for around $300 shipped. The mil's are all over for about $45-60 shipped depending on the brand, which doesn't matter, beause the resistors come from the same manufacturer!

Hrmmmm...BBK X Pipe on Ebay for around $180, MILS for around $60, installation should be around $50-$80. $180+60+80=$320. So, I think you'd be getting the hose, but not as big of a hose as I first thought.

everyone I checked with was either $90 or $80. Would do it myself, but just finished with the pi swap 2 months ago, and kinda tired of working on it this summer. $80 is good for me so I don't have to worry about it. Come next spring, I'll want to work on it some more.

A shop by me quoted about 150 for the install. I did it myself with a leak of course, wound up going to the shop so they could reweld a new flange on the drivers side-that was 80 bucks. Most places should do it for about a hundred.

RE: MIDPIPE PRICE
$50 is the most install should cost you. for a bbk offroad x, you shouldn't pay more than $200.
and you'll need to get the stud replaced on the driver's side cause there's a stupid flange on the stock stud that prevent the seal from working.
