ok first of all u wanna run 2 ohms. what amp are and sub combo are u hookin up. is is possible for 1 ohms. all ohms are is RESISTANCE. so the more resistance the less power(WATTS) u can get through to the subs. im an MTX fan myself, but i have a few ALPINE setups and they sound pretty nice. ooh one more thing do u know how to wire up a system and how are u accomplishing this?????

i got 2 x 10" JL w1v2 subs enclosed in a custom made sub box. A kenwood KAC-7202 amp is powering the punchers. And when it plays, it sounds godly with the two factory amps that the mach 460 came with. The stock speakers are actually pretty good for playing mids and highs but lack bass hence why I got some subs. [8D] Not only do people get annoyed with my music but they also get annoyed when I beat them from the stoplights [8D]

Yo ceekay did you hook up the sub amp using a line-out converter at the factory rear amp? I'm planning on sticking a couple 10's into a custom box that's going in that back seat ppl say I won't hear much bass in a vert anyway, but hey if the subs are inches from the rear of the front seats then I think that problem is solved lol

The farther the subs are from youre head and ears the better. This give the bass sound waves a chance to complete before you hear it. If they are close to youre head you wont hear much but the peopl outside will!!

i will say one thing though, ive wired every system ive ever had, and im an installer, and the mustang with the mach stereo are the hardest damn things to wire up. i think ford made it difficult just so people would have trouble and have to have it done professionally. but back on topic, if u do the line out converter, make sure u use the right wires, if ur before the two amps in the trunk its yellow and orange, oh and another thing, dont use the tweeter wires cuz the signal isnt strong enough, u wont get any bass. make sure u turn the subs aft of the car. ull get better sound quality. if u have any problems wirin the subs in the box let me know.
ooh yea and when im sittin in traffic, if u crank up the bass, i love it when people start pullin forward cuz there pissed or they start hittin the brakes tryin to tell u to shut the **** up. its so damn funny
